Desenvolvo o meu trabalho partindo da minha reflexão sobre uma determinada temática, frequentemente esta encontra-se associada a contextos referentes à incapacidade de comunicação, entre o Indivíduo e a Sociedade. Focando a confrontação entre a identidade pessoal e a sociedade, esta, vista como “motor de pressão” e corrupção da expressão individual de cada ser Humano. Interessando-me assim por abordagens e questões interligadas com a “manipulação”, “mutilação” e “destruição” da mente. Neste projecto parto para a reflexão sobre o estado de guerra por todo o mundo, sentindo a minha impotência, ignorância e inutilidade perante este. Com o desejo de comunicar e de perceber o que está para além de nós próprios, pretendo estabelecer ligações entre mim e outras pessoas, que vivem e convivem numa realidade que as confronta diariamente com a sua incapacidade individual, perante a condição humana em que vivem. Foquei-me no conflito Árabe – Israelita, mais concretamente a questão da Palestina e o Estado Judaico. A minha primeira ideia, era desenvolver uma criação baseada num dialogo à distância com uma ou mais pessoas que vivessem na Palestina e em Israel, com as quais eu iria corresponder-me e criar um universo imaginário, partir do qual iria desenvolver o meu trabalho, após a minha estadia em Ramallah – Palestina e passagem por Tel Aviv – Israel, deixou de fazer sentido…,Embora tenha realizado esta correspondência com um Israelita, a minha estadia na palestina desviou-me do universo imaginário para uma aproximação á realidade. Não deixa de ser a minha visão e a criação da minha própria imaginação, mas agora mais crua sobre os factos…
I develop my work bearing in mind a determined theme; frequently these results are associated to contexts regarding the incapacity of communication, between the Individual and the Society. Focusing this confrontation between personal identity and society, seen as a “motor of pressure” and corruption of the individual expression of each Human being. Therefore, I’m interested in approachingand questioning “manipulation”, “mutilation” and “destruction” of the mind. In this project, I’m caught up in the war situation all around the world, feeling my impotence, ignorance and uselessness before these facts. With the desire to communicate and of perceive what seems to be beyond us,I intend to establish connections between me and others, that live and coexist in that daily reality that confronts them, with their individual incapacity, before the human condition that they live in. I have focused on the Arabian – Israeli conflict, more actually the issues on the Palestinian and the Jewish State. I will be developing a work that reflects my artistic and personal visionabout this theme, my research will be based in real and current facts, with the support of texts, images and dialogues that I will establish with residents in these Countries. I want to assemble apiece that artistically reflects my research, in which the movement composition and the plastic arrangements of the set will be intimate related with the concepts I’m researching. I will develop a personal language of movement, built with my own interpretation. I have been developing my work creating pieces for others; in this project I will be challenging my interpretation in the sense that I believe since I am the one researching motivations and language of movement will result in a deeper outline. This choice comes as a result of the work that I have been developing as an artist and professionally, supported in an insightful reflection and constant research. I am liberated to renovate and progress in my artistic work, exchanging with other artists and in collaboration with other artistic areas, in partnership with different Cultural spaces and in contact with different cultures, which can allow my personal and artistic maturity.
